Plugged into the Matrix – Part 2

In Plugged into the Matrix – Part 2, Laurence Bouchard blurs the boundary between built space and optical illusion.
The monumental glass façade appears as a self-contained system, its repeating patterns extending through reflection into a second, almost unreal dimension. Within this structure, a lone woman moves through the frame — small in relation to the architecture, yet essential to the composition.
It is precisely her unposed movement that gives the photograph its tension. What initially appears to be a meticulously constructed graphic image reveals itself as a fleeting moment of everyday life.
Here, Bouchard does more than photograph architecture. He questions how we move within the structures that shape our cities.
